How to get a useful answer
Start with the numbers you already know: your yearly income, the balance on a card, or the loan offer in your inbox. Change one number at a time and watch how the result moves. That is the fastest way to see which choice saves you the most.
Every calculator gives an estimate. Taxes and loan terms depend on your full situation, so use the results to plan and to ask better questions, then confirm the final figures with the IRS, your lender or a licensed professional.
Common questions
How much should a freelancer set aside for taxes?
Self-employment tax alone is about 15.3% of net earnings, and you also owe federal income tax and possibly state tax. Many freelancers set aside 25% to 30% of income, then adjust once they know their bracket.
What is the best way to pay off credit card debt?
Paying more than the minimum matters most. The avalanche method targets the highest interest rate first and costs the least; the snowball method clears the smallest balance first and can be easier to stick with.
Are these calculators free?
Yes. They run in your browser and nothing you type is sent or stored.
About CashCalcs
CashCalcs is a collection of free calculators for everyday money decisions in the United States: taxes for freelancers, take-home pay, mortgages, car loans, credit card payoff, retirement savings and more.
Why we built it
Many money tools are cluttered, ask for your email before showing a number, or hide how the answer was reached. We wanted calculators that are fast, work on a phone, need no sign-up and explain the result in plain language.
How the numbers work
Every calculator uses standard formulas for loan payments, compound growth and tax brackets. The federal tax calculator uses the 2026 brackets and standard deductions published by the IRS. We review rates and limits when they change each year, and we show our main assumptions under each result.
What we are not
CashCalcs is not a bank, a lender, a tax preparer or a financial advisor. Results are estimates for planning and learning. Your real taxes, rates and payments depend on details only you, your lender or a licensed professional can confirm.
How the site is funded
The site may show ads and may include affiliate links. This never changes the formulas or the results you see. See our Privacy Policy for details.
